Jelgava wins Latvian Football Cup

Latvian football club Jelgava defeated Skonto in the Latvian Football Cup finals on May 21, winning the trophy for the second time in the club's history.

The score after regulation and extra time was 0-0. During the penalty shoot-out, Jelgava beat Skonto 5-3.

Jelgava's midfielder Artis Lazdins was named the best player of the match.

Jelgava will participate in the UEFA European League's qualification tournament.
