VILNIUS - On Monday, the Lithuanian government borrowed 90 million litas (26 million euros) for a period of 9 months, reports ELTA. The government borrowed the money in an auction of government securities (VVP) that took place at NASDAQ OMX Vilnius.It was decided that the annual interest rate of 0.39 percent will be paid for the distributed VVP. The demand for the VVP reached 236.1 million litas.The lowest annual interest rate for which the participants bid reached 0.35 percent, while the highest was 0.41 percent.
