Kazakhstan, following Russia’s lead, bans Baltic fish

RIGA/MOSCOW - Following Russia’s lead, Kazakhstan has also introduced a ban on import of fish and fish products from Latvia and Estonia, the Russian food safety authority, Rosselkhoznadzor, reported last week. Rosselkhoznadzor announced that the Kazakh veterinary committee has informed the Russian authority that it has introduced temporary restrictions on import of fish and fish products from Latvia and Estonia.
