Baltics buck bankruptcy trend

RIGA - The number of company insolvencies increased significantly in Europe last year, while the number of bankruptcies in Latvia fell 4 percent and in Estonia 6 percent compared to 2011, according to a Coface SA annual survey of insolvencies in Central Europe, reports Nozare.lv.After a slight improvement in 2011, problems returned to Central European countries last year. The wave of bankruptcies has reached Poland, where a record number of insolvencies was registered last year. Experts predict that the increase in the number of bankruptcies will continue this year and into 2014....
