RIGA - On a visit this week to Brussels, Bonn, Paris and London, U.S. Trade Representative Charlene Barshefsky was expected to push the European Union to take up the slack on exports from emerging and distressed countries. At the top of her list are Russian steel exports and Japanese cars, she told The Financial Times Oct. 19. The European Union has import limits on both.
