Estonians threaten to bolt Bosnia mission

TALLINN (BNS) - Some Estonian soldiers from the Baltbat battalion have threatened to drop out of the forthcoming NATO peacekeeping mission in Bosnia if their salaries are not raised.Lt. Meelis Kiili, commander of the training center for the soldiers, said some men are disappointed because their pay is supposedly lower than that of the Latvian and Lithuanian soldiers in the unit.Kiili said that many of the men in the contingent, after returning from a pre-mission leave of absence in Denmark, said they wanted to drop out of their scheduled mission in Bosnia because of the pay policy.If Estoni...
