Baltics still grapple with unemployment

RIGA - The Baltic states are still struggling with some of the highest unemployment rates in the EU, recent data from the EU’s official statistics agency revealed earlier this month.Compared to November 2011, the seasonally-adjusted unemployment level in the European Union stayed put at 9.9 percent in December 2011, according to the latest data from the EU’s statistical office “Eurostat”, LETA reported.The unemployment level in the eurozone was steady as well at 10.4 percent.According to ‘’Eurostat’’ calculations, there were 23.816...
