VILNIUS (BNS) – Lithuanian President Valdas Adamkus signed a decree June 10 nominating Defense Vice Minister Jonas Kronkaitis as new commander of the Lithuanian Army.Kronkaitis, a reserve colonel in the U.S. military and a dual citizen of Lithuania and the Untied States, will start his five-year term if the Parliament approves his nomination.Kronkaitis, 64, told reporters he would not make "any revolutions" and promised to further implement reforms in the Lithuanian army."All priorities remain the same, and I will do my best to concentrate on the troops", Kronkaitis said.
