Dukurs seeks two crowns in two weekends

RIGA - Martins Dukurs has been crowned FIBT Skeleton World Cup Champion for a third consecutive year.Racing in the final meet of the 2011/2012 FIBT Skeleton World Cup in Calgary, Canada on Friday, the 27-year-old Dukurs simply needed to finish better than 12th to become the first person since Austrian Christian Auer in 1992 to complete the feat.Given that the current reigning World Cup and World Champion had won six of the first seven meets in the calendar, it would have taken nothing short of an unprecedented disaster for Dukurs not to be once more standing atop the podium.Su...
