Kanepi storms into second round of China Open

BEIJING, China –Kaia Kanepi has stormed through the opening round of the China Open, defeating local qualifier Saisai Zheng 6-0 6-3. It took the 26-year-old Estonian took a little over one hour and 15 minutes to win the match, seeing a continuation of her good form that last week saw her defeat world no.1 Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark in the round of 16 at the Toray Pan Pacific Open in Tokyo, Japan. Kanepi was particularly proficient on her first serve, winning 21 of 24 points while also winning 19 of 33 points on the first serve of her opponent, Zheng...
