TARTU, Estonia – Despite only arriving in Estonia on Wednesday, American Bill Amis has made an immediate impact for the University of Tartu basketball team. The 23-year-old center was influential in University of Tartu’s 108-106 win over Kalev/Cramo, scoring 21 points on six-for-eight shooting from the field in 22 and a half minutes playing time. The win now pits University of Tartu against VEF Riga in the final of the 2011 Dorpat BBL Cup. VEF defeated Lithuanian club Rudupis 80-75 in the day’s second semifinal.
