PANEVEZYS, Lithuania – Red faces have been narrowly avoided on the opening day of Eurobasket action with Lithuania leaving it late to get past Great Britain. Leading by ten points at halftime, Lithuania appeared to be cruising to an uncomplicated victory. But inspired by NBA star Luol Deng and his teammate Joel Freeland, Great Britain would stun Lithuania after the break, winning the third quarter 18-5 to see them leading by three points going into the final quarter.
