SIAULIAI, Latvia – Despite 32 points from Janis Blums, Latvia has been unable to create an upset in their opening game of Eurobasket, falling to France 89-78. Coming into the tournament boasting a team laden with NBA stars, France was expected to sail past the young Latvians in their opening match.
