Three Baltic players set to compete in US Open

NEW YORK, USA – Three Baltic players will contest the men’s and women’s main draws at the US Open beginning Monday while a further three players from the Baltic nations have failed in their bid to join them. Latvia’s Ernests Gulbis will be the sole Baltic representative in the men’s main draw while his compatriot Anastasija Sevastova will be joined by Estonia’s Kaia Kanepi in the women’s main draw. Seeded 31, Kanepi’s first round match against Thailand’s Tamarine Tanasugarn will be the 26-year-old Estonia...
