MONTREAL, Canada – Latvian Ernests Gulbis has won his opening round match at the Rogers Cup in Montreal, Canada. Following on from his maiden 2011 title in Los Angeles just over a week ago, Gulbis’ all or nothing approach that saw him claim the title there was again working for him in the opening round in Montreal. Gaining a wildcard entry to the main draw Gulbis came up against former world no.1, Spaniard Juan Carlos Ferrero.
