ATLANTA, USA– Following an extended injury layoff on the sidelines, Richard Berankis has claimed his first victory since return by winning through to the second round of the men’s doubles at the Atlanta Tennis Championships. Having earlier in the week lost his opening round singles tie to Nicolas Mahut, Berankis got his revenge over the Frenchman in the opening round of doubles, teaming up with Belgian Xavier Malisse to beat Mahut and his Luxembourg partner Gilles Muller 4-6 6-4 10-5. Having been broken twice in the opening set, Berankis and Mahu...
