Taaramae sitting in comfortable position following first week's racing

PARIS, France – Estonia’s Rein Taaramae is sitting in a strong position following a tumultuous first week in the Tour de France. In a week that has seen crashes aplenty, Taaramae has been able to avoid most of the mayhem to be sitting in 28th position in the overall classification with the first major hill stages beckoning. Just two minutes and 13 seconds behind overall race leader Thor Hushovd of Norway, Taaramae will be hoping to make significant climbs through the rankings as the sprinters who currently dominate the leading places begin to fade. ...
