Lithuanian victory marred by fan violence

KAUNAS, Lithuania – Lithuania have defeated southern neighbor Poland 2-0 in an international football friendly on Friday evening in a match marred by fan violence. Local media reported that around 200 Polish fans began abusing local police before the game had even kicked off, hurling an array of items including bottles and stones at police in the streets surrounding the stadium.
