Gulbis' latest flop bigger than normal

INDIAN WELLS, USA – Latvian Ernests Gulbis has flopped out of the BNP Paribas Open, winning just one game in 0-6 1-6 thrashing at the hands of Serb Novak Djokvic. Gulbis is a player who plays on momentum and when one thing does not go his way his game subsequently disintegrates. With that in mind the writing was on the wall as early as the first game as Gulbis blew three break points which would have seen him take a 1-0 lead in the opening set. Less than an hour later and Gulbis was packing his bags and probably wondering where exactly to go from here....
