INDIAN WELLS, USA – Latvian Anastasija Sevastova has failed to join Kaia Kanepi in the third round of the BNP Paribas Open, losing out to Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova 2-6 5-7. The 17th seeded Russian Pavlychenkova was always going to pose a tough barrier for Sevastova to overcome, even with Sevastova showing an improved performance from her first round match. Sevastova held her own on her first serve but Pavlyuchenkova was ruthless on the Latvian’s second serve, winning 17 of the 25 resulting points which would ultimately prove to be the decisive fac...
