2010 production numbers rebound

RIGA - Compared to 2009, industrial production output in Latvia in 2010 has grown by 13.9 percent, according to working day adjusted data from the Central Statistical Bureau, reports Nozare.lv. Manufacturing output increased by 14 percent, electricity and gas supply by 13.7 percent, and mining and quarrying by 9.7 percent.

Compared to November 2010, industrial production volume in December 2010 dropped by 1.9 percent, according to the seasonally adjusted data. Manufacturing output was down by 2.8 percent, mining and quarrying by 22.1 percent, but in electricity and gas supply there was an increase of 6.4 percent.
Compared to December 2009, industrial production output in December 2010 increased by 15.7 percent, according to the data. Manufacturing was up by 16.3 percent, electricity and gas supply by 16.5 percent, though in mining and quarrying there was a decrease of 14.9 percent.

In comparison with the third quarter of 2010, industrial production output in the fourth quarter of 2010 grew by 0.2 percent, according to the seasonally adjusted data. Manufacturing was up by 0.3 percent, electricity and gas supply by 1.8 percent, but in mining and quarrying there was a decrease of 10.5 percent.
Compared to the same quarter in 2009, industrial production output in the fourth quarter of 2010 grew by 16.2 percent. Manufacturing rose by 18.2 percent, mining and quarrying by 6.5 percent, and electricity and gas supply by 9.7 percent.
