IGLS, Austria – Latvian Martins Dukurs has seen off all rivals in the fifth round of the FIBT skeleton World Cup to remain atop the overall point standings. In the first event of 2011, Martins was in blistering form as the only competitor to go under 53 seconds, going 52.95 second on his first run and 53 seconds flat on his second to never be challenged atop the podium. Second place getter Russian Sergei Chudinov’s total time from his two runs was a full eighth of a second behind that of the Latvian. It is his fourth podium finish ...
