RIGA– Robert Petrovicky has signed a contract to return to Dinamo Rīga for the remainder of the KHL season.

Petrovicky first played for Dinamo Rīga last season, also joining the club midway through their campaign. Claiming eight goals and 12 assists, he was an instant favorite with the fans, combining well with countryman Marcel Hossa. They quickly formed an integral partnership that helped the team through to the second round of the KHL playoffs.

Petrovicky began this season playing for KalPa in the elite Finnish league but it was no secret that Dinamo Riga had a strong interest in gaining back the services of the 208-game National Hockey League veteran.

Earlier on in the week Dinamo Rīga said on their official website, dinamoriga.eu that they hope to have Petrovicky on the ice playing within the fortnight.
