Balloons fly over the center of Europe

VILNIUS - From Aug. 3 to 8 the best place to look in Vilnius was up, as hot air balloons flew above Vilnius, Trakai and other neighboring villages. The balloons were part of the competition "Center of Europe '99" which was also the seventh Lithuanian hot air balloon championship. The 15 teams included not only Lithuanians but also several Latvians.The main aim of the competition is for the balloonists to drop a mark as close as possible to the memorial stone which marks the geographical center of Europe.
