Finnish Conservatives want slice of immigration debate

Taru Tujunen, the Finnish National Coalition party secretary, said Tuesday that the party was looking into ways of raising its profile in the country's immigration debate.

The party hinted it was considering hosting a tour of immigration debates for the public.

"A big party carries a big responsibility to engage in this debate," Ms Tujunen told the Finnish News Agency (STT).

"We want to bring this debate on to a slightly broader middle road."
