Thawing snow and icicles caused serious damage to property and hospitalised a woman pedestrian in the centre of the capital this Thursday. On Marszalkowska a woman was struck by a falling icicle and taken to hospital suffering from concussion. Meanwhile on Wiejska several tons of snow fell from a roof and destroyed six cars. As a result the street was blocked for several hours, reopening only in the late afternoon. It is not yet clear whether the snow fell of its own accord, or if there were workers up on the roof removing it at the time....
