RIGA- During the Oct.3 emergency government meeting, several agreements weremade between coalitions parties, which means that technical work on thepreparation of next year's budget project will begin, Prime MinisterValdis Dombrovskis (New Era Party) told the press.
Accordingto Dombrovkis, next year's budget expenditure will be reducedby LVL 225 million, while another LVL 100 million will be gained inrevenue by tax policy changes.
The Finance Ministry will now begin technical work on next year's budget.
Dombrovskisalso added that international lenders are understanding of thesituation in Latvia, however, the most important discussions with themare still ahead, as another mission will arrive in Latvia in the firstpart of November.
Next year's budget will be submitted to Saeima on October 23.
