Arturas Paulauskas has been a key figure in Lithuania's politics for a number of years. He has worked as Prosecutor General, caretaker President, parliamentary speaker 's a post he held for six years 's and is currently Minister of Environment. He is also the leader of his own political party, the New Union, which missed out on a place in the Seimas (Lithuanian parliament) in the recent elections.
