Liberal Naivety

Re: Minority Complex (issue no. 623)

If it weren't so tragic, it would be funny to watch the extreme left lose its mind. Tor from Oslo, in his letter criticizing the Baltic response to the Russian invasion of Georgia, is a perfect example of the absence of rational thought among the extreme left. In his letter, which amounted to nothing more than a series of insults to the Baltic people, he managed to say absolutely nothing constructive or informative about the situation in Georgia, Ukraine, or the Baltics.  While liberals rant and rave about living in peace and getting along, it becomes increasingly apparent that they have no idea how the world works.  Let the Baltic States continue to speak out about Russian aggression.  Let Norway suffer 50 years of occupation before they presume to talk about living in peace and getting along.  Then let's see who's stupid.

On another note, I would like to make a comment about Barack Obama's support of the bill condemning the Russian occupation of the Baltics. While I congratulate him for his stance on the issue, I recommend that anyone reading this that has an opportunity to vote in the U.S. elections not even consider voting for him. His action on this bill is commendable, but if Russian tanks ever roll across the Latvian border, he is the last person we want in control of the U.S. government. He has neither the backbone, nor the decisiveness, nor the integrity to honor the U.S. commitment to the NATO treaty.  John McCain, however, does have what it takes to make tough and sometimes unpopular decisions. He proved that in Vietnam, and he proved that in his years in the Senate.
