It is not nice when Riga is been looked at as a rip of city/destination. The places that have been mentioned for the credit card frauds are Russian owned businesses. This should be mentioned in stories so that Latvia is not looked upon as the criminal but the Russian that want it to appear so are mentioned to the World.
It is well known that Russian /Latvian Police and usually the same ones are the real security behind most of the Businesses as was mentioned in The Baltic Times this week. When the business uses threats it are the Russian /Latvian Police that appear and yell 'protocol.'
If the local police or the Riga Mayor wanted to investigate and get results why not use the street cameras to assist with the investigations. I really think people here in Latvia do not care what the outside world thinks of them or it, at the end of they day who had the last laugh.
