TALLINN – Months of deadlock over the government's plans to shed 1 billion kroons ($67.2 million) from the 18.46 billion kroon budget were finally broken June 28 when Parliament passed a negative supplementary bill. At a second extraordinary session, called after Parliament had broken up for its summer recess, members voted 53 in favor and 41 against the 1 billion kroon negative supplementary budget, proposed by the ruling coalition of the Reform Party, Pro Patria Union and the Moderates.
