Doudou Diene, a Senegalese diplomat, visited the Baltic states from 16 to 28 September 2007 on behalf of the United Nations. He visited the countries in order to publish a report on the human rights situation here. Since the issue is so important, 's and since the report is, at times, so damning 's The Baltic Times decided to publish excerpts from the reports on the three countries, much of which overlapped.
