Artis Pabriks is one of Latvia's most highly respected politicians. Recently, however, he quit both his position as foreign minister and as member of the People's Party over the government's handling of the attempt to sack Aleksejs Loskutovs, the country's top anti-corruption official. Following his resignation from the party, Pabriks joined with former Municipal Affairs Minister Aigars Stokenbergs to found an NGO aimed at cleaning up politics in Latvia.
