Silence in Baltic markets

It was a quiet week on the Baltic securities market with share prices of leading banks sliding despite meeting analysts' earnings expectations.

The drop in the share prices of Uhispank, Hansapank, Unibanka and Vilniaus Bankas was most likely due to the continued skittishness of investors, who harbor fresh memories of last year's crisis, and who maintain little confidence in half-year corporate results.
