Vilniaus Bank's Issuer Rating was upgraded from IC-B to IC-A/B on Feb. 14. According to the bank's press release, this rating is assigned to financially solid companies with an excellent record of activities.
The bank's Short-Term Debt Rating was confirmed at LC-1, the highest level, and its Senior Debt Rating remained unchanged at BB+, which corresponds to Lithuania's debt rating.
The same issuer and short-term debt ratings were assigned to the Estonian banks Uhispank and Hansapank, while Latvia's Unibanka was rated at a lower-grade IC-B. The agency did not assign senior debt ratings to these banks as, apparently, they had not applied for them.
