Let in the refugees

Recently a friend returned from Australia and mentioned how big-hearted and generous the people there are. It seems that the Australian government has given sanctuary to tens of thousands of Somalis escaping from the war-torn hell they have endured seemingly forever. Why has the European Union sat on its hands when Estonia could easily take in 50 - 60 thousand refugees? A Somali man is 6 feet, 6 inches tall and could certainly play volleyball or basketball for the Estonian national teams. Not wishing to seem flippant, but why not use Estonia as a test case with its [population] numbers dropping rapidly, even more so after the riots? The EU is always saying we're as one, and Britain has taken more than its share of immigrants. It's now time for others to step up to the plate, with Estonia showing the other silent members how big-hearted they can be.
