To the museum!

I have read with some concern recent articles on the debate over removing the various statues left from the Soviet era. Having visited Estonia a number of times, as well as having Estonian family ties, I think I understand how the Estonian people feel. But angering Russia is not a good solution. Officials have already found an appropriate relocation for the monuments in Tallinn - the excellent museum dedicated to the history of Estonia's occupation. This location would keep the statues from being destroyed, thereby resolving Russia's objections. And visitors will see the monuments in their proper context: as a legacy of the Soviet's illegal occupation of Estonia.
