Jusel, a world prizewinner, aimed his legal Sig Sauer at his head and fired the deadly weapon just after stepping out of the car, which had taken him to an interrogation.
The police department's spokesman said that the 32-year-old victim was rushed to the hospital where he died.
Jusel had been summoned to arrive at the police station for an investigation of an incident at a Vilnius bar, where he was employed as a guard.
Police officials say that Jusel had a quarrel with a customer at the cafe on Feb. 1, but did not incur any penalty.
