Living standards in Latvia are still low because of foreigners pursuing their own interests. They don't care a bit about Latvia itself. These noncitizens are hurdles in Latvia's journey to prosperity. What's worse, Latvian officials often seek to benefit by dealing with these fishy men. Thank God that one such man, former Russian tycoon Boris Berezovsky, was declared persona non grata in Latvia. But his friends, who belong to the Chechen mafia, are still "doing business" here. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that "smart Boris" is continuing to benefit from Latvia through his friends. ...
