Lithuania set on EURO 2008

Lithuania played an impressive 1-1 EURO 2008 qualifying tie with world champions Italy on Sept. 2, taking the lead in the Group B opener. Although many were surprised with the result, Lithuanian coach Algimantas Liubinskas said his team deserved the tie."Our tactics worked," he told the press. "It was a great result to begin the campaign with, although I can't say I am totally happy. We showed about 70 percent of our potential." The team's next game will be at home against Scotland.
