Ridiculous expectations

Having come from the U.K. almost seven years ago and settled in Lithuania, I have seen an unbelievable rise in the cost of housing in the area. I can understand the rise in the U.K., where in part wages reflect the sustainable increase, but when I see houses in Lithuania that cost 300,000 euros - and there is no way that local wages cam sustain these prices 's I wonder where the hike is coming from.I have been house hunting for some time now, and I must say the standard some of these houses are built to is criminal.
