The Lithuanian Basketball League (LKL) semifinals were underway this past weekend and at least one Lithuanian powerhouse booked their place in the LKL Finals. Kaunas Zalgiris won their best of three semifinals by defeating Siauliai in two close matches.

After crushing Nevezis Kedainiai 116 's 80 on April 28th, Lietuvos Rytas looked set to follow suit with two quick victories, but the regular season champions were stunned in their second match on May 1, losing for only the second time all season in the LKL. The 94 's 90 defeat means they play a pressure packed deciding game to determine who will face Zalgiris on May 8 in the first game of the finals.
