Olympic athlete leads hunger strike

RIGA - Latvia's Olympic bronze medalist, Martins Rubenis, led a hunger strike outside the Chinese Embassy in Riga last week, protesting repression in the communist nation. "It was a joint initiative, not only my initiative," he said. "I think that people should give serious thought to what is happening in China."
