The People's Party's support for a controversial gambling law caused uproar in Latvia, and was even assailed by the president. But since Parliament passed the legislation, with last minute amendments stripping municipalities of the right to regulate games of chance, Prime Minister Aigars Kalvitis has said the law may be reopened.
