Latvian auto-racing duo Matiss Mezaks and Arnis Ronis crashed during a Northern European zone nations' cup race in Estonia last week. Ronis, who sustained serious back injuries, was given immediate medical attention. The driver was later flown to a Riga hospital by helicopter. Mezaks fractured his leg during the accident.On Oct. 24, a day after winning the Madrid Masters, French Open champion Rafael Nadal (photo) stepped out of the Swiss Indoors due to knee problems.
