I read with great interest the article published on your Web site about the expulsion of Terry Boesch from Belarus. I agree that the current situation in Belarus is unacceptable, but I feel once again that the opinion of an American carries far too much weight and, in fact, distorts the truth and also ignores a very fragile political situation.Sometimes appeasement is a necessary way to deal with a political regime that we (in the West) don't like. It wasn't the way to deal with Adolph Hitler of course or, more recently, Serbian leaders (and others) during the break up of the former Yugosla...
