TRAINING TOGETHER: Naval and coast guard vessels from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Germany began joint exercises off the Estonian coast Sept. 18. The purpose of the Amber Sea '99 drills is to develop cooperation and exchange mine sweeping experience, and they will run until Sept. 25. Training will also be carried out for a potential joint-Baltic rescue service.
