Pentathlon athlete reclaims title

VILNIUS - Lithuanian athlete Edvinas Krungolcas continued his sequence of victories in the modern pentathlon European Championships on June 22, winning the title for the third consecutive year. After the final round, the 32-year-old sportsman from Vilnius garnered a total of 5,668 points. Latvia's Denis Cherkovskis took silver, coming in 68 points behind Krungolcas, and Russian athlete Rustim Sabirhusin, who earned 5,588 points, won the bronze.
