Southern university courts young Lithuanian

VILNIUS - Basketball fans at the University of Southern Mississippi are giddy at next season's prospects, as the team hopes to sign five talented players, including a young Lithuanian. Donatas Visockis, a 6-foot, 10-inch center finishing off his season year at Cardinal Gibbon High School in Baltimore, has indicated plans to sign with Southern Miss, according to the Biloxi Sun Herald. The university is offering Visockis a full scholarship. Under rules of the National Collegiate Athletic Association, a school may offer up to 13 basketball scholarships.
