Riga hosts Olympic ice-hockey qualifiers

RIGA - Six ice-hockey qualification games will get underway next week in Latvia, Switzerland and Austria for the 20th Olympic Winter Games, which takes place in Turin, 2006. Twelve men's teams will face off in three groups of four as they attempt to win a place at the games.The games will be played in Kloten (Switzerland), Riga (Latvia) and Klagenfurt (Austria). In group A, Switzerland will take on Japan, and Denmark will face Norway in Kloten. In group B, Belarus will play Poland and Slovenia will be up against Latvia in Riga.
